It breaks my heart into tiny little fragments to even write this post. It’s like the elephant in the room for me, but I just want to get it out there in case anyone asks/is wondering. I’m not going to the Marine Corps Marathon 2016. . .for several reasons that might not even matter at this point.
I need to come to terms with this though, so here goes. . .
1.) I’m so very grateful that I reached my $1,000 fundraising goal for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who donated! The money will still go toward the MDA, so have no fear.
2.) I’m grateful for running communities, even if I don’t participate 100% right now, such as the Smyrna Clayton Running Club, The Running Lifestyle Show, and the Brooks Wear Tester community on Facebook.
3.) I’ve learned that I need to push myself harder, and I hope to do that starting in November.
*** Update ***
I honestly was NOT looking for sympathy for this post. I just wanted to put it out there that I wouldn’t be running MCM in case it would save me the grief of explaining it individually. But thank you SO much for the amount of comments/love I received on Facebook!
